GO50 [go five oh] is a ski club dedicated to helping its members get the most out of skiing (or boarding) after the age of 50.

Did you know there are 1.5 million skiers 50 and over in North America? It's high time we formed a ski club that fits who we are: the most health conscious, physically active, YOUNGEST 50 and over generation in history. Fifty is the new forty, sixty the new fifty, seventy the new sixty - you get the idea. We feel great - and enjoy skiing now more than ever.

GO50's goal is to make skiing more enjoyable - and affordable - for its members. We offer many member benefits like preferred pricing on lift tickets, equipment, instruction and lodging at premier resorts throughout North America, access to trips and travel planning, and a steady stream of ski news, information and inspiring stories.

Who's Who at GO50

Bill Chaffee
Creator and founding partner of GO50, Bill has been skiing for over 40 years. His passion for skiing has taken him from the small Mom and Pop ski areas of New England in the 60s and the developing resorts of Colorado in the 70s and 80s to Northern Idaho in the 90s. His ski industry experience includes ski shop work, professional ski patrol, NASTAR pacesetter, Level III PSIA instructor, area rep for various equipment companies and over 20 years of coaching.

Also a skilled snowboarder and telemark skier, Bill continues to coach skiing and manages to be on snow over 70 days per season. Daily practice of Tai Chi and seasonal outdoor activities (mountain bike rides with his black lab Isabelle, the occasional round of golf, and of course, skiing) keep him feeling 27.

Jim Buckley
Founding partner and technology guru for GO50, Jim started skiing at a small, local, now closed area in Southern New England in the late 60s. While a student at the University of Utah in the early 70s, Jim skied at Snowbird on its first opening day and fondly remembers $5.00 lift tickets at Alta.

Jim earned his degree in computer science after touring as an audio engineer and road manager for many rock acts. In GO50, Jim has found the perfect outlet for his high tech computer skills and his passion for skiing. In his free time, Jim enjoys introducing his son Adam to the pleasures of skiing, cruising the groomers and mountain biking with his old buddy Bill.

Sharon Bray
Founding partner and communications pro, Sharon didn't learn to ski until the 90s but was fortunate enough to learn on soft snow under blue skies in Colorado. An ACL injury limits her turns these days, but accompanying Bill on day trips and annual weeklong ski adventures keeps her up to speed on the skiers' lifestyle.

Sharon has the distinction of being the youngest member of GO50's management team and shares Bill's and Jim's passion for an active lifestyle. Working on GO50 has her itching to get back on snow, and she's now in training to return to the slopes. When there's lots of snow. And it's sunny.
